Is Service Kemon free?

Yes, entirely. Browsing is free, rating is free, and being listed is free. There is no paid tier and no advertising placement on the listings.

Can a company pay to rank higher?

No. No amount of money changes any position on this site. The order comes from a formula we publish in full on the How Ranking Works page, and that formula has no input for payment.

How is the ranking calculated?

Score is 50% rating, 35% click-through and 15% freshness. Ratings use a Bayesian average so one review cannot decide a company's position, and click-through uses a Wilson lower bound so small samples are not inflated. New listings get a small boost for fourteen days.

Do I need an account to rate a service?

No. There is no signup. You rate a service you have used out of five stars and that is the whole process. One rating per service per person.

Can a company delete a bad rating?

No. We do not remove ratings because a business asked us to. Verified owners can respond to feedback publicly, but an opinion is not deleted for being unwelcome.

What does the Verified badge mean?

It means someone confirmed ownership of the company from an email address at that company's own domain. It is free, it is not an endorsement, and it has no effect on ranking.
